Group Dining
If you have family and friends arriving early to spend some time with you before the big day, it would be nice to get together for a family-style meal before the madness of the wedding day. Have a pre-wedding feast in our Fia Rua Restaurant or you can use one of our banqueting spaces for a more personal dining experience. If you’re lucky enough to have exclusive use of our Manor House for your pre-wedding get-together, you’ll enjoy all of the grandeur of an opulent private home without compromising on modern luxury.
Drinks reception
Treat your guests to a pre-dinner drinks reception in our lovingly restored 18th-century Manor House before your wedding ceremony. Soak in stunning views across the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains, the library and grand reception rooms have open fires and luxurious furnishings. It's ideal to set the tone for your married life.
Wedding Reception
Enjoy your first meal as a married couple surrounded by your closest family and friends. Our Russborough Suite boasts stunning chandeliers, elegant candelabras and Chiavari chairs. Our Executive Chef has carefully created a menu of culinary delights which are accompanied by hand-chosen fine wines. We use quality, locally sourced seasonal ingredients and each dish is prepared with authenticity and precision. We can comfortably seat 150 guests for dinner.
Options for starter include fresh Kilmore Quay crab and Spiced Confit Duck Leg. Our warming soups reflect the season and change regularly, followed by the sorbet of the day – our favourite is the champagne and strawberries. The main course might be a choice of herb-coated slow-roasted fillet of Irish beef or a pan-roasted fillet of sea bass. Our dessert menu depends on your taste but a favourite is the rich dark chocolate and mint mousse. We can also cut and distribute your wedding cake which can be made on-site or brought from outside. Our five-course meal includes tea, coffee, and petit fours with a choice of main course and a half bottle of specially selected house wine per person. Our wedding packages also include a pre-wedding menu tasting for the wedding couple.
Evening Food
After a day and night of drinking and dancing, your guests might need a little pick-me-up to keep them going until the wee small hours, in line with your bar extension! We provide a selection of evening food, ranging from pre-made sandwiches to hot snacks, to make sure no one goes to bed hungry. We would be delighted to create a bespoke package specially tailored for you and your party size, whether it's an intimate affair or an over-the-top celebration.
The Day After
Don’t end your party when everyone goes to bed! After dissecting the day and the evening's events over breakfast, go back to your guest rooms and freshen up for day two. Day two celebrations are more popular these days as they allow the couple to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, spending time with whoever can stay on. Our Elk Bar and outdoor dining space are perfect for you and your guests to unwind in a less formal setting. Whether it’s an intimate few of your nearest and dearest or the full wedding party, our team will help you plan the perfect day after celebration.
