Our Big Day
Ceremony held in the Poulaphouca Suite at Tulfarris and conducted by Niamh Callery (Anu Celebrancy) with music from Tea For Three. Formal photos were taken before the ceremony on the grounds of the Tulfarris. Reception was in the Manor House and bar. We chose the Haddock Fish Cake, Butternut Squash Soup, Rhubarb and Gin and Tonic Sorbet, choice of Chicken Supreme or Feather Blade Beef, and After Eight Chocolate Mousse. Food was presently impeccably and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff were warm and friendly and their service was flawless. First was Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan performed by Springbreak. Most memorial moments were the beautiful ceremony, walking into the dining room, and the dancing - dance floor was full all night.
Post Wedding celebrations:
The second day we had the manor house and celebrated with 60 family members and friends. We had the bar there from 3 to close with the burger bar at 5 followed by pizzas and chips later in the night. We had Pink Fizz band playing from 8 to 10. It was lovely to have full use of the Manor House - bar, bedrooms, and sitting rooms. We enjoyed the privacy and comfort of the house. Food was excellent. Staff again were fabulous and very attentive.
We did a mini moon for a few days to New York. We are going to the Galapagos Islands in the new year as the big honey moon.
Why did we choose Tulfarris?
We heard about it from a friend who lived in the area. It was the first venue we viewed. We met Kate for an appointment and instantly liked it. We loved the beautiful scenery. We really liked having the Manor House to have a private wedding event exclusive to us and our guests but with the convenience and facilities of the hotel - it's really the best of both. We thought the Manor House was beautiful and the rooms were luxurious, and that the dining room (except the old dark dance floor - we hired one from Chic Events) and the bar were nicely decorated and inviting. We also liked the spacious ceremony room with nice vistas. Kate was very approachable and nice to deal with and we had confidence in her. Overall, our wedding was three days in Tulfarris and it was fantastic. The front desk / accommodation team were very helpful and considerate of requests, the bar staff and dining staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. The event staff on the day were excellent and ensured that the day ran smoothly and we were very relaxed. The Manor House was warm, very clean and comfortable.
