Our Story

A little bit about you both:

We are both from Co. Kildare and met through mutual friends when we were 15 and have been together ever since. We are best friends and this engagement was a long time coming.

Tell us a bit about the proposal:

We accidentally got engaged when he bought me a promise ring for €50 and we announced it randomly on a night out, whoops! Five years later he bought me a real ring and we had another round of pressies and celebrations!

Something Old, Something New

Shoes were Charlotte Mills with a silver sixpence in them and a blue ribbon.

The Big Day:

We had our ceremony in Tulfarris and it was just beautiful and so intimate but still a large room overlooking the lake . It was a fabulous day weather wise . We had turkey and ham or hake and it was amazing. Our first dance was Flightless bird . We had a ball. Highlight was singing Zombie with the band . Everybody said best venue and band ever !

Post Wedding celebrations:

We had a second day in our local and went to Tenerife for our honeymoon! Cleopatra palace is beautiful highly recommend! We were treated like royalty!

Why did you choose Tulfarris?:

Tulfarris was so captivating we chose it instantly. The staff literally cannot do enough for you. We even had to move our date and they were so accommodating. Kate , Honora and Catriona were always just an email or phone away and nothing was too much hassle. On the day the manager Arnold was outstanding and managed everything to perfection. He went above and beyond for us . The reception was particularly beautiful and the food was out of this world! Thank you so much team!
