Our Story
A little bit about us both:
I’m from Leitrim Village and Katie is from Dromahane which is close to Mallow In Cork. Our wedding day was exactly 3 years after our first kiss at our work Christmas party!
Our proposal:
We got engaged in a country house not that far from Tulfarris about a year before the wedding!
Our suppliers:
Flowers came from Enda’s in Blessington. Entertainment was ‘Deuces Wild’. Rings came from Corrs in powerscourt shopping centre. Stationary came from ‘DS signs‘ carrick on Shannon. ‘Karen’s Cakes’ in Clonee provided the cake.
Our beauty parade:
Dress came from ‘Bridal Outlet’. Suits came from ‘EJ menswear‘ in Sligo. Danielle Mahon did the make up.
Something old, something new?
Something borrowed from Katie’s mum.
Katie’s veil was Old and borrowed.
Katie’s ring was blue.
Our Big Day
Ceremony was held in Cross chapel Blessington.
We had choice of fish or beef for dinner.
First dance was ’A rainy night in Soho’ by The Pogues.
Post Wedding celebrations:
Second day was also in Tulfarris. Honeymoon was in South Africa.
Why did we choose Tulfarris?
We loved the Manor House! It had wow factor! Everyone loved the venue. Not many people had been there before and loved the food and the venue.
