Our Story

A little bit about us both:

We met on tinder and have been together 6 years.

Our proposal:

It was our 5th Anniversary and Trevor popped the question.

Our suppliers:

We got the engagement ring and our wedding rings in Murphy's Jewellers in Kilkenny.

We had the Bentley Boys for our band and DJ, they were excellent.

Flowers were supplied by Tullow Florist.

Cake was supplied by Hallahoise bakery.

Our beauty parade:

The wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses were all from Folkster.

Michelle Montgomery did our make up and Unveiled stylist did our hair.

Something old, something new?

I wore Trevor's Mum's wedding and engagement ring as my something old and something borrowed. She passed away away last year.

I got new Jimmy Choos as my something new and they had a blue jewel on the sole.

Our Big Day

The wedding ceremony was in St Laserian's cathedral in Old Leighlin in Carlow.

We had our photographs taken on the grounds at Tulfarris and in The Manor House.

We had chicken salad, potato and leek soup, mago sorbet, featherblade of beef or hake for the main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Our first dance was Westlife 'World of our own'

Most memorable moment was walking down the aisle and seeing Trevor's face

Post Wedding celebrations:

We had a small gathering the next day in The Irishman's pub in Carlow.

We had live music and some food.

We went to Lough Eske Castle in Donegal for our Mini moon. It was beautiful.

We are going on our honeymoon in July 2022.

Why did we choose Tulfarris?

We chose Tulfarris because we loved how the wedding function room was separate to the main hotel. The staff were so friendly and lovely to deal with. The food was amazing. The guest bedrooms were lovely however we were a bit disappointed with bridal suite.
