Andrea and Craig

Our Story

A little bit about you both:

Andrea is from Wicklow, Craig is from Dublin, we met while working together and have been together nearly 5 years.

Tell us a bit about the proposal:

Craig whisked Andrea off to the Lyrath Hotel. He had intended on taking her on a romantic walk but the weather was miserable so he got down on one knee just before we left the room for dinner, it was romantic in his own way

What suppliers did you work with?:

Our Band was the Big Band Theory - highly recommend - they had the dancefloor full all night - everyone commented on how good they were

Ian Hennessy did our photo's and we could not have hoped for better - we weren't away from the party for too long and he managed to capture the whole day perfectly Tyler was on video and again - blended into the crowd and did a fantastic job - both were very easy going

The beauty parade:

My dress was from Smartbrides in Portlaois and I absolutely loved it.

Keira Smyth did our hair and make-up - she is honestly one of the best in the business - we all said what we wanted and she got it perfect straight away and works so well under pressure.

Something old, something new?

My something borrowed was my maid of honours bag and shoes she wore on her big day, my mam bought new a new bracelet from Rosie & Dott and I pained my toenails blue.

The Big Day:

Ceremony took place in Tulfarris Hotel and Golf resort along with our pictures, the grounds were so beautiful and the staff went over and above for us, they took up on the golf buggy's to get photos and had a drink waiting for us when we got back.
We had chicken salad for starters, butternut squash and coconut soup, passionfruit sorbet, Beef(which people were raving about) or turkey and ham, trio of desserts.
Our First dance was 'I love you always forever' it suited us perfectly
I have so many memorable moments - getting ready that morning - my bridesmaid's got a flat Tyre on the way and had to flag a car down to help, waiting to walk up the aisle I had butterfly's in my tummy, how relaxed the ceremony was and how beautiful it was, how relaxed me and Craig were, the speeches were so emotional and lovely, the dancing and craic on the dancefloor was brilliant.

Post Wedding celebrations:

We went on honeymoon 3 days later to the Dominican republic and just got back. It was paradise and exactly what we needed.

Why did you choose Tulfarris?

From the moment we visited the venue, we fell in love with it, we loved that it was separate to the hotel and the ceremony room etc was exactly what we wanted. The team were so easy to deal with especially through Covid - I had plenty of questions and they were so quick to respond - Honora and Kate in particular.
